We liked the mass of ventilation with substantial channels running from front to back. The hot weather performance was further enhanced by the high back and skinny yet perfectly comfortable 'ZipTite' retention system, which hardly trapped any sweat due to its thin plastic skeleton. The downside to what is otherwise an excellent helmet is that the sharp edges of the exposed EPS body are already sporting a few dings, made all too obvious by the shape. The clipped rear helps with cooling, but not protection. Overall one of the cheapest and most stylish helmets on test and covered by an excellent crash replacement policy — stack one in the first year and Trek will replace it completely free of charge.
